Financial Status of LIC- Question raised in Rajya Sabha before honourable Finance Minister on 3-3-2020

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) Whether it has come to the notice of Government the recent posting in social media about the
financial health of LIC;
(b) If so, Government’s reaction thereto;

(c) The market share of LIC in total life insurance policies of the country for the last five years, year-
wise including the current year; and

(d) The percentage of first three premium collected by LIC and other insurance companies for the
last three years and the current year, year-wise and company-wise?
