Reg: COVID-19 Advance to agents.

Dear Comrades,

As you know that in the back drop of outbreak of COVID-19 and subsequent 21 days locked down declared by the Government, our Respected MD(Marketing)  through his message addressed to all agents and Development Officers about taking all possible relief/ relaxation on the matter of MBG, Club membership, release of commission without any regular deduction of earlier loan/advance etc. All these relief/relaxations including arrangements for payments of special Corona Advance (just like flood/draught advance) for agents was also proposed by NFIFWI much earlier. Accordingly, LIC management has issued the circular dated 3rd April 2020 for payments of interest free COVID-19 advance to all our existing ERC agents to help and support in this present hour of crisis. We sincerely appreciate the management for this most timely help and support extended to our agents.

We  have already received so many queries/clarifications regarding the process of COVID-19 advance payable to agents. We are now trying to clarify the points asked for information of you all.

1. All the Dev. Officers are required to prepare and send a list of eligible and willing agents of his/her organisation to branch office through mail or any other mode suggested by BO (But not hard copy).

2. In turn the branch offices will compile and consolidate a list of all such eligible and willing agents following the format supplied by CO and will send the same to respective Divisional office.

3. CO will soon send a program developed by SDC to all Divisional Offices to generate advance for each eligible and willing agents.

4. Divisional offices will run the program for the agents as per the consolidated list supplied by the BO and will directly send the generated amount of advance to the respective agents through NEFT on 15.04.2020.

5. Divisional offices thus will send the list of agents to the BOs whose advance had been generated and credited to their respective bank a/c. The left out eligible and willing agents will be paid the advance on 30.04.2020.

6. Needless to mention that only the eligible agents as per CO circular dated 03.04.2020 will be paid the advance and there shall be no concession on the eligibility criteria.

You all are requested not to worry about the matter. Your responsibility is only confined initially in sending the list of existing ERC agents under your organisation who are interested for the same to your Branch Office through mail/WhatsApp and submission of formal request to the Branch Office of all such individual agents duly signed as per proforma supplied by the office. Rest of the things will be done by the Branch & Division. 

In case any eligible agents express his/her desire for the same in later days it can be availed up to 30th April.
