All Employees recruited after 1.04.2010 are presently covered under DCPS Scheme. As there is more flexibility for the employees under the NPS Scheme the Management is contemplating to switch from DCPS to NPS.
We were informed by the management accordingly. All the employees recruited after 01.04.2010 will be covered under NPS instead of DCPS from the date as notified by the LIC. Employees for long were demanding to be covered under NPS as the rate of return in NPS when compared to DCPS is better and there is more flexibility for the employees. As the NPS fund will be huge as compared to DCPS, the employees will have a greater opportunity of getting better returns.
NFIFWI will continue its stand and demand that all the Employees recruited after 01.04.2010 should also be covered under the Pension Scheme 1995, like all other existing employees.
