The joint front of unions in LIC had an online meeting yesterday evening (30-12-2021) and took stock of developments pertaining to the institution and the employees.
Reiterating the commitment of the joint front to fight the IPO of LIC, the meeting expressed its unhappiness over the LIC management not taking the stakeholders into confidence on important issues like the future road map of LIC.
The meeting decried the inordinate delay in settlement of pending issues like improvement in family pension, Restoration of increment deferred due to participation in strike, unjust and arbitrary withdrawal of ACL etc.
The meeting also decided to observe 19th January 2022 as "Save public sector, Strengthen LIC Day".
