Respected Chairperson Sir,
With heavy heart we take this moment to bid adieu to you after completion of your tenure as chief of this mighty institution.

Congratulations On Having Led LIC So Well for The Past 4 Years. Thank You for Always Being an Amazing Teacher in The Journey for all of us. 

Global covid pandemic was a test for the mankind. During the period of lockdown in the year 2020, the economy of all the nations of the world had to face sharp decline. Unemployment rate increased unbelievably, wages in different unorganised as well as organised sectors reached to a record low. As a financial marketing institution, we were affected badly. On the one hand crores of policies were discontinued and surrendered and on the other hand the strongest marketing force of LIC consisting of Agents and Development officers were unable to move in the market for new business.

Under such a tough and critical situation, you extended interest free advances to Agents repayable in most easy instalments. You allowed covid relaxation in special rule for Development officers up to February 2022. With your these empathetic acts you helped survive lakhs of agents and thousands of Development officers, which we will remember for ever.

Sir, after submission of our charter we have been expecting a lot from you because in the last wage revision, you exempted the entire arrears amount from the cost and that was a historic favour for the fraternity of Development officers. Particularly the PDOs of that period were highly benefited with your such exemplary decision. We will remain ever grateful to you.

Sir, exemption from cost in the appraisals for the maternity leave period for our lady development officers had been a long but most justified issue. It had a social background too. We understand that even after all your sincere efforts the matter remained unresolved for years. You were deeply concerned about it and understood the problem. We will remain indebted to you for ever for your such concern.

Today, when you are leaving this mighty institution LIC of India, all of us will also feel the vacuum because this is the period when IRDAI is keen to bring many new regulations which we feel will put LIC in a difficult position. Whenever there were attempts to create situations against the image of LIC your presence as a bold, intelligent, prudent but soft hearted leader has steered LIC Successfully. In the past also you pulled up the performance of LIC to an envious level even during the critical period like covid. We believe, in the present situation also your matured decisions and plans could have played the role like masterstroke.

However, all beginnings, whatever glorious that may be, must have an ending. We are to accept it. With love, respect and regards we wish you a very happy and healthy personal, as well as, family life ahead.
