K.Chandrasekaran was born on 08-06-1940. Completed his school education at St.Pauls Vepery, Chennai. He was graduated from Loyola College, Chennai. He came out as the Best scholar in the school, and a first class graduate from Loyola. Joined LIC of India as an Assistant Chennai Division. Completed Associate ship in Insurance Institute with a rank-1 in then Madras combined Division. Opted for the post of Development Officer 1n 1973 and was posted at CBO 4, Chennai Division. During the probation period he completed Fellow ship of Insurance Institute, with Actuarial Science as Option and he came out colorfully as No I in All India. For more than a decade he continued as No 1 in Combined South Zone on First Year Scheduled Premium Income. He was an active member of the AIIEA and was its Branch Secretary. From the day was confirmed as the D.O. he became the Branch Secretary of NFIFWI. He held the posts of Joint Secretary and Division Secretary of Chennai Division. He was elevated as Zonal Secretary, South Zone. January, 1994 he was elevated to the most responsible position as The Secretary General of NFIFWI at Mathura and continued till 1998. He believed in mutual trust and respect and had enormous confidence with the NEGOTIATING WISDOM OF OUR ORGANISATION. He is deeply indebted to K.B.Srinivasamoorthy for his excellent support which could not have otherwise been replicated. It is always fresh in his mind the way The President Anand Tyagi skillfully handled all matters related to CBDT and Non Taxable reimbursement of Expenses to Development Officers. Bottom line we understood that the rapport and relationship is very vital for the purposeful functioning of the Trade Union. Sohan Shah in Mumbai and D.D.Gupta in Delhi had played sensible roles in this sensitive issue balancing with equanimity. In every issue of however small may it be, he never failed to visit Mr.G.V.S.Mani and Mr.V.V.Apte at their residences and discuss with Mr.M.M.Sadana and Madhu Dandavate for a through guidance, though some of them he might not be able to follow. He will always indebted to them not only in matters of NFIFWI but for the love and concern they exhibited. Faculty : 1. Madras Insurance Institute. 2. Zonal Training. Center, L.I.C. of India. 3. Visited as Faculty National Insurance Academy – Pune Conducted more than 1500 Training sessions for Agents and 329 sessions for Development Officers.Seminars on Affluent Marketing, Key Man Insurance, Tax law and Life Insurance and Life Insurance and Application of Mathematics etc. Paper Presentation: Presented a Paper on 1) “Insurance Potential in India” On 22nd and 23rd February, 1999 at the International Conference on Insurance held at Mumbai. 2) “Marketing in the Competitive Environment” S.W.Kalvit Memorial Lecture Series on 26th August, 2001 at Bangalore. 3) Delivered the Inaugural Address on 26-03-2011 at the Pondicherry University, Karaikkal Campus on “Emerging Paradigms in Insurance Insurance Industry” Educational Activities. : Corporate Guest Lecturer, for MBA, University of Madras.,As Director, Academy of Insurance Marketing. Vice President Educational Trust -Hindu Union Committee Hr. Sec School, Chennai. Member – Mathematics Syllabus Committee, MPO Vaisnav College for Women Chennai. Zen and its Application 1.Conducted Series of Seminars on Zen Buddhism and Zen way of Marketing. 2. Special Lecturer at the University of Madras, Department of Jainology on Zen Buddhism. 3. Delivered Series of Talks on Buddhism to the Students of Stella Maris College, Chennai, 4. Organized and delivered series of lectures on “Living in Peace” with the guidance of Ven Monk Ashin Wathawa and Ven Khangsar Rinpoche 5 .Presented a Research Paper on “Social Equality and Buddhism” at “National Seminar on “Relevance of Buddhism in the Contemporary World” conducted By the University of Madras on 13-10-2008. 6. Presented a Paper at World Lay Buddhist Forum held at Seoul, outh Korea under the auspicious of Chongji Buddhist Order October,22 to 26, 2009.
